FREE WRITING
This wiki is intened to give you a place to practice freewriting. Freewriting is a way for a writer to get "warmed up" before they start actual writing. It will give you a chance to get your brain in gear and get into the process and mode of writing. Often when you come into class, you may have trouble focusing on writing because you are thinking about other things. This will give you a chance to begin the transition to writing. This will also help you to write in English. Often, you may begin in your native language and then "translate" the passage into English. This exercise gives you an opportunity to focus on English.
We will be doing this at the beginning of class once or twice a week. For the first 5 minutes of class you will use your Wiki page to write about one of the topics supplied. Please let me know if you have a particular topic you would like to write about and I will try and use it in class. If you arrive late to class, please join in as quietly and quickly as possible.
Here is a good guide on how you should do this or here as well.
